It is a black bolt!
We watched the animation film 'Bolt' last night. I know it's for kids but the animation work is incredible and a joy to watch. In fact, everything about it is so well done - the plot - characterisation etc etc. I wonder how many people realise where the idea for Bolt's "super bark" came from? I may be wrong but it seems an amazing coincidence that there was this character called 'Black Bolt' in the early Fantastic Four comics, the leader of the Inhumans, whose voice was so devastating that he had to remain silent. If he so much as whispered there was an earthquake. i find it hard to believe that the creators of Bolt had never heard of Black Bolt. Good job Black Bolt is fictional character or he might be pretty peed off at being turned into a dog :-)

Latest news
Well I must admit that we don't really get round to putting as much here as we do on our www.artistsuk.net blog or on our updates page at www.artistsuk.co.uk but we thought we ought to let all you guys and gals knows about Chris Down. He's a great new artists who has produced a range of excellent signed Giclee prints at reasonable prices that you can see here. We will also shortly be getting some new SIGNED Brian Froud prints including a lovely large 'Faery of Dark Dispair' that has been one of his best selling images for some time. They will be flying in on gossamer wings very shortly to arrive in one or other of his sections under his main area on our website here. Of course, we are all waiting with baited breath to see if the Dark Crystal 2 film will ever see the light of day and whether it will live up to the first one. In the meantime there is of course the wonderful Limited Edition print of Toby and the Goblins in the afformentioned area on our website. Of course, Toby himself is rather older nowadays and becoming quite a talent himself but then with parents like Brian and Wendy Froud that is hardly surprising. His DNA must be literally bursting with creative energy!

Just like it says on the box
We get loads of enquiries, mostly from the USA, about whether we ship orders of prints, posters etc to the USA. That wouldn't seem strange except that every page of our ecommerce website at www.artistsuk.co.uk has SUPPLYING CUSTOMERS ALL OVER THE WORLD SINCE 1994 at the top of it. Maybe some Americans don't feel they live in the world? Could all those years under Bush have created this effect? Who knows? Answers on a stamped-addressed fortune cookie please :-)

Storming away towards the 25th December ...
Yes, as usual we here at Artists UK have very little time to keep up with our blogs at this time of year as the orders rush in and we rush around and the packages of prints, posters, tshirts, books and jigsaws etc rush out all over the world ...
Now its time to keep the last posting dates in mind and do everything we can to make sure that everything gets out by the date it should so it can get to where it should by the time it should (as long as the postal services do their job as well as we do of course!).
So; I'd better stop writing this and get on and make sure it all happens.....
